Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?

No referral is needed to see our podiatrists as a private patient. However, if you are eligible for Medicare rebates through a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM), or are covered by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), TAC, or WorkSafe Victoria, a referral from your GP is required.

Which organisations are you accredited with?

Total Care Podiatry is an accredited provider for:

  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)
  • Transport Accident Commission (TAC)
  • WorkSafe Victoria
  • Medicare (via CDM plans)
  • Private Health Funds (HICAPS available)
  • NDIS (plan-managed and self-managed participants)

We are also a trusted local podiatry clinic within the My FootDr network, giving our patients access to advanced treatment options and continuity of care.

What services do you offer?

Where is the clinic and how do I access it?

Our clinic is conveniently located at 209 Malop Street, Geelong, just east of the city centre.

  • Parking: Free 2-hour on-street parking is available directly outside the clinic. Additional parking can be found on neighbouring streets.
  • Public transport: Several bus routes stop nearby, and Geelong Station is within walking distance.
  • Accessibility: The clinic is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp at the front entrance and accessible bathrooms on site.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring:

  • A referral (if applicable)
  • Your Medicare or DVA card (if relevant)
  • Private health insurance card (for HICAPS claiming)
  • A list of current medications
  • Footwear that you wear regularly
  • Any previous scans, reports or orthotics if available

Do you treat children?

Yes. Our podiatrists are experienced in caring for children of all ages, offering assessment and treatment for growth-related issues, flat feet, walking patterns, Sever’s disease, and more.

How do I make an appointment?

You can book online or contact us directly during clinic hours. Same-day appointments may be available for urgent concerns.
