Philip Spark is co-owner and senior podiatrist at Total Care Podiatry. He joined the clinic in 2021, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in private practice and a strong interest in treating complex foot conditions, particularly heel pain.
Philip is known for his methodical approach — he treats heel pain like a puzzle, carefully assessing each patient to make an accurate diagnosis. Once the cause is clear, he develops a tailored treatment plan that draws on both modern and traditional methods, depending on what’s most effective for the individual.
Treatment may include advanced options such as Extra Corporeal Shockwave Therapy, laser therapy, or dry needling, alongside proven techniques like stretching programs, strength-based rehab, and custom orthotic therapy. His goal is to resolve the issue at its root, not just manage the symptoms.
Philip’s active lifestyle gives him a personal understanding of the challenges faced by those with foot and lower limb pain. He has completed full and half marathons, enjoys hiking across Australia and Europe, and is passionate about road cycling. When he’s not in the clinic, he’s often outdoors walking his dogs or exploring new trails.
